What is Reiki?

Reiki (pronounced Ray-Ki) is ancient energy healing used for millennia.

The most widely known method of this was formalised just over 100 years ago by Miako Usui in Japan.

The word Reiki comes from the Japanese word (Rei) which means “Universal Life” and (Ki) which means “Energy” and so Reiki is simply the energy of life.

In your Reiki healing, energy is channelled through the practitioner’s hands into your body. The energy is transferred with the Reiki healers hands directly touching the body and equally effectively with the healer’s hands near the body.

The Reiki will go to exactly where it is needed in the body allowing your body to heal itself.

How Reiki can help

  • The physical body Reiki can relieve aches and pains, and help support the body to heal injuries, wounds and illness and aid a more speedy recovery. It is great at allowing the nervous system to relax & can ease tensions in the body leaving a state of calm and a feeling of being loved.
  • The emotional body Reiki allows the body to relax and gives space for emotions to pass through the body more easily as any stuck emotions get processed and released.
  • Spiritual journey Reiki is a great way to feel the connection we have with the spiritual aspects of ourselves and helps support us on our spiritual journey.
  • The mental body Reiki helps create feelings of calm, peace and acceptance.  It can ease circling thoughts and feelings of anxiety by allowing the mind to relax and be supported by the body. Creating a sense of wellbeing.
  • Self development Reiki supports us to get more aligned with our true self, helps us release past hurts and allows us to move forward in our lives with more confidence in who we are and what we want to achieve.
  • The energetic body Reiki helps to clear and balance chakras and allows energy to flow more freely round the body.

The type of Reiki that I practice is a powerful upgrade, channelled first in 2011. This means it helps meet our needs in the 21st century & the unique challenges and opportunities we are faced with during these times.
